It is important to remember that the PMM system gets its timecode from your House Clock. The procedure for actually changing the time will be individual to your site. However, here are a couple important considerations for how your Traffic and Master Control teams should handle the change in the PMM context:

  • Due to the time change, there will be 25 hours of programming time.
    • ProTrack will still require a 24 hour log, so your Traffic team should fill it out with 24 hours of content and should choose what they would like include for the extra hour of broadcast.
    • The 'extra' hour of content should be added manually in RapidPlayX.

  • Any clock start events scheduled for the time around when you will be changing your house clock should be set to follow events for this time.
    • The event in progress at the time of the change will have an inaccurate countdown in RapidPlayX2000, but the next event will roll correctly.
    • The RapidPlayX application running on your User Workstation may take as much as twenty minutes to update the time, but will continue to run appropriately.
      • If you'd like to force the update before that time, you can close RPX and re-open it.

  • It is not critical to system operation, but when you are able, you should manually change the other computer/system clocks.
