Running an Air Date search a few days out is a good tool to catch any potential issues with obtaining media for scheduled programs by confirming the location of the media. This is especially helpful heading into a weekend or a holiday when your site may not be staffed.
When checking the results of the search, you should check for any programs that do not have a location of “Play”:
For entries without a “Play” location, you should confirm that the program will air directly from satellite or that the media will be obtained via a local record. If the entry does not indicate a satellite feed as the source, check the feed list for the program to see if it will be recorded locally:
For local production (such as Greater Boston in the screen shot above), the location will remain empty until the media is ingested into the PMM system. If any discrepancies are seen for national content, contact the NOC for assistance.
