Server Boot Order

 

  1. Power on the AB server first, and allow it to finishing loading the Windows Desktop before moving on to Step 2.

  2. Power on the DS1 server, verifying that the Windows Desktop Loads.

  3. Power on the AB-STS server, verifying that the Windows Desktop Loads.

  4. Power on the Loading Dock server, verifying that the Windows Desktop Loads.

                       

Proper software launch sequence for Manually Started Applications(upon restart Crispin applications should start automatically)

 

Phase 1 – AB Server: Asset Management/BXF Endpoint.

  1. Locate the AB Server through the KVM switch in the Node Rack. Alternatively,
  2. At login, a ClipCopX auto start program will launch the ClipCopX application within 10 seconds.  If this is not running, you may use Step 3 to start the ClipCopX application.  Otherwise, proceed to Step 4.  NOTE:  This application starts automatically at login and will continue to restart the ClipCopX application if it is closed for any reason.
  3. Double click on the #1 Shortcut to Launch ClipCopX. Once it opens, click the “Start All” button (The Green Circle Icon).
  4. Double click on the #2 Shortcut to Launch the SystemStatus Application.

 

Phase 2 –DS1/AB-STS Servers: On-Air Playback

  1. Locate DS1 server through the KVM switch. Alternatively, you could use Remote Desktop to connect to the machine.
  2. Double click on the #1 Shortcut to Launch the EventServer. Make sure that the display does not say “Socket Not Bound” before moving to the next step.
  3. Locate AB-STS server through the KVM switch. Alternatively, you could use Remote Desktop to connect to the machine.
  4. Double click on the #1 Shortcut to Launch the EventServer. Make sure that the display does not say “Socket Not Bound” before moving to the next step.
  5. Go Back to the DS1 server, and Double click on the #2 Shortcut to Launch the DeviceServer. Make sure no Devices indicate “Error” or “Not Ready” on the Black Status Screen that appears.
  6. While still on the DS1 server, Double Click on the #3 Shortcut to Launch RapidPlayX2000. Wait until the Full Screen Window appears before moving to the next step (No Playlist will be loaded at this point, but the main program should open up).
  7. Go back to the AB-STS server and Double Click on the #2 Shortcut to Launch the DeviceServer. Make sure no Devices indicate “Error” or “Not Ready” on the Black Status Screen that appears.

 

Phase 3 LoadingDock Server: LoadingDock

  1. Locate the Loading Dock Server through the KVM switch. Alternatively, you could use Remote Desktop to connect to the machine.
  2. Double click on the #1 ClipCopX Shortcut to Launch ClipCopX. The Task will start Automatically.
  3. Go to Administrative Tool -> Services and verify the following services are running (if they are not, click on the service in question and select Start Service).  Note that these services are set to start automatically so it is expected they will be running.
