GBH uses the DocuSign platform to obtain electronic signatures for contracts and other Legal documentation. These documents are typically sent from a centralized GBH account called the WGBH Agreement Service. Signers outside of GBH do not need to have a DocuSign account to sign or countersign documents and will be provided . Electronic copies of the documents when they have completed fully signed document(s) are automatically provided to all signers when the DocuSign process is completed.  

I received an email from "WGBH Agreement Service". What do I do?

1. To sign a GBH agreement using DocuSign, click on the Review Document button in the email from the WGBH Agreement Service.. 

2. Check the I agree to use electronic records and signatures box and click Continue to proceed.

3. Review the document (it will be in a "read only status" and will not be modifiable). To sign, click the yellow box marked Sign on the signature line.

4. Enter your Name, Initials and edit your signature as desired in the Adopt Your Signature prompt. Once you click Adopt and Sign, you're all set!

What if I am not authorized to sign an agreement? 

If you are not authorized to sign an agreement on behalf of your organization, you can reassign the DocuSign envelope to an authorized signatory by following these steps:

Opening the link Click to the document

➜ Instead of clicking the Continue button, open the Other Actions dropdown menu

...

➜ Enter in the name and email of the person you are sending the document.  You will need to provide a reason for the reassignment to the new signatory. Click Assign.

 

Can I physically sign the agreement instead of using an electronic signature? 

If you preferto f you'd like to upload a physically signed agreement, open prefer to physically sign the document, you can do so by following these steps:

After clicking on Review Document in the email from GBH, open the Other Actions dropdown menu

Select once you've opened the link to the document, and select Print & Sign. Mark that you'd like to upload the document in the next prompt.

Select Upload for the "How would you like to return your signed document?" question. 

  

Download the document via the link provided.

Print, sign and scan the document.

Drop Then once you've printed, signed, and scanned the agreement, you can drop the new version into the bucket shown or browse and select the file with the option just above.

 

How will I get a copy of what I signed?

Once you've all parties have signed the document, you will receive another email from "WGBH Agreement Service" with a notification of your completed document. Attached the email is a copy of the signed document that you may downloadpdf of the fully signed document attached.  You can also click on the View Completed Document link in the email to download the pdf directly from DocuSign.
